Woodstock Reckless Driving Lawyer: Lynch was stopped and arrested in the summer of 2012 for DUI in Oakland, California. Ivan Golde, Lynch's lawyer made a statement to ESPN.com explaining that Lynch entered a plea to the wet reckless to put the DUI charge to an end. Golde further explained that the pending DUI charge was costing Lynch endorsement revenues. Lynch also did not want to risk the suspension from the NFL for a DUI conviction.
“He’s a Super Bowl champion, and he has endorsements pending. For a guy in his position, it just doesn’t make any sense to go through a public trial. He has a lot a stake here. You know Marshawn. He’s not a media guy. It wouldn’t have been good for him to go through all of that.”
Typically, most NFL players who get arrested for a DUI are suspended from games. However, because Lynch is only guilty of reckless driving, Golde believes he may be able to avoid a suspension.
